My Home Page Has Shifted

Hello Friends... you must be wondering why I have not posted for so long. I just saw that Mr Dilip has posted a comment on my Bhimaashankar post asking why I haven't posted anything for so long. Thank you for your concern :)

This post is to inform you all that I have shifted my homepage to "Information is Everything - by Bhavesh Chhatbar". I like pictures, so here is a screenshot…

Bhimaashankar

A tree by a well on roadside with fog in Bhimaashankar

Was just browsing through the old photographs taken by me. Found a good topic to post on my blog for Pune. There are many places I have visited in and around Pune. One of them is Bhimaashankar/Bhimashankar. The above photograph is showing one of the finest scenery of Bhimaashankar. It has the pure Indian natural beauty — Dense forest and vivid Indian wildlife.

Forest of Bhimaashankar

The place is a heaven. I visited it in the monsoon / rainy season — 03 July 2005.

Can you believe that this is photograph was taken at around noon?
This is one of my favorite photographs :)

Although I couldn't see most of it, the temple too was a great place. Wonder the road to the Lord Shiva temple is a slope. Most of the temples in India are built on hill-tops, or higher locations. This temple is on a lower ground.

Bhimaashankar Temple

Truly a wonderful place!

Photography Exhibition of Landscapes and Landmarks

My boss — Mr Bang will be exhibiting the photographs taken by him. He says he is not a pro, but has ability to see the world with a different light. The exhibition will be held from 10 to 12 October 2008 between 10 am and 8 pm at Yashwantrao Chavan Natya Gruha. The photographs are of landscapes and landmarks around the world. The main point here is that he has organised a charity campaign in the exhibition. Anyone can visit the exhibition free of cost, and if they wish, can donate to their favorite charity including an orphanage and a school for the mentally retarded. As a token of appreciation, he will be happy to give out a mounted photograph to the doner. So do visit friends.

Wildlife Photography Exhibition

There is a wildlife photography exhibition going on in Pune, on Ghole Road. I visited the exhibition yesterday. The photographs are simply stunning. The presentation is perfect — just the right amount of light on each photograph. The exhibition will end tomorrow — 07 October 2008. I am an enthusiast. I have put one of my photographs in this post :)

The Ecology of Commerce — My Favorite Book

Although I haven't been lucky enough to read this book yet, but I am sure that this is a wonderful piece of information ever. This is "The Ecology of Commerce". Few of the pages are given on Amazon.com. Here is the link…

Enjoy! But be careful, you may regret reading it.

Respectable Human Being

According to humans, a respectable human being is a person who has achieved a good financial and social status.  He/she believes in relationship (may be for business, may be personal), which tightens and adds power to the society in fighting the inconveniences caused by nature.  He/she does this even if this creates inconveniences between and within humans.  He/she knows how to attract and use people, how to be in fame.

According to nature, a respectable human being is a person who as far as possible doesn't use the resources unless required for food/shelter.  He/she is a person who respects himself/herself, the nature and all the living & non-living things, even a dead rock.

The reason why GOD has sent us down on earth is to protect and flourish life on earth and other planets.  That's our duty.  Not utilizing every available thing even if it's required or not.

I am guilty of looting mother Earth.
